Private Adjudication

Adjudication is a method of resolving disagreements by an independent person deciding who is right and who is wrong. This is the traditional process of the law courts.

Nowadays similar results may be achieved by private adjudication.

Alan has had experience resolving domain name disputes in this way, under the auspices of three of the organisations eligible to provide panelists to resolve domain name disputes, the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the National Arbitration Forum and eResolution, as well as complaints about advertisements for therapeutic goods in his capacity of Chairman of the Complaints Resolution Panel established under the Commonwealth Therapeutic Goods Regulations. He is also Chairman of the Complaints Panel of the Australian Self-Medication Industry, which determines similar complaints.
